Reading is my passion…and for me, the only thing better than reading a good book is having a great discussion about it. So, I am delighted to facilitate a thought provoking discussion of Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward. The story, rich with language and meaning on various levels about family life, takes place in the fictional town of Bois Sauvage, Mississippi during the ten days leading up to Hurricane Katrina and the day after. (ReadNY Times Review) . I have been coming to the Vineyard with Sisters & Friends since 2010 and I have always had a fabulous time. With Sisters & Friends on the Vineyard there is a binding spirit that remains strong and constant each year. This bond of our trials, tribulations, celebrations and common life experiences weave us together like the most exquisite piece of cloth eyes have ever seen…and so, I come back for just one more look.
